Powder Room Overhaul - Pt 1.
With a new season, comes the itch for change. For some, it's new goals, new clothes or new home decorating on the horizon. For me, it's a bit of all of the above but we've got a particular focus on our home's main floor powder room.
Powder rooms are a bit of debate when we talk to our homeowners. They are small spaces and most of the time, they end up getting a facelift when we support our clients in renovating their homes (especially when we do an overhaul of an entire main floor). The trouble is that other rooms can take priority over these small spaces and homeowners can battle the question of "where do I want to place my investment".
For me/our team, we love using the powder room as a surprise and to inject something unexpected if the budget and willingness allows. The powder room in our own home has been sitting empty (*insert embarrassed emoji here*) for nearly three years since we renovated our own main floor. It's true what they say about the cobbler's kids having no shoes...
With the new season, I'm feeling inspired to get this room finished and to show you how a little bit of personality in a powder room can go a long way.
Check out some of the photos below of our powder room when we:
1) First purchased our home
(We attempted to give it a refresh using wallpaper. It was my very first attempt installing wallpaper.... spoiler, while it was super difficult to install, it made my love for wallpaper grow stronger).

2) The current state of our powder room before I get my hands on it.

Any guesses on what we have planned? : ) I'm really excited to share some bold ideas that I know will insert some joy that sprinkle of surprise to this room in the best way possible. Check out the concept board we created for our inspiration below.
I’m completely crushing on a paint colour called Lemon Verbena by Sherwin Williams (and have been for some time), so I’m leaning on painting all the walls this colour. I used the help of their Colour Visualizer app to help seal the deal. Take a look at the sample colour on the walls using the app.

Can’t wait to show you more and watch it unfold!
